Deleta Lloyce Austin, 59, of Early, passed away Monday, Oct. 3,
2016 at her residence with her loving family and friends by her
side.
Deleta was born June 29, 1957 in Cleburne, to Frank “Papa”
Young and Helen “Mama” Pipes Young. On Aug. 13, 1983 she
married Dennis Austin in the home of Rodney and Paulinda Proffitt in
Granbury. They moved to Brownwood to start a family. Over the years
she has worked at the Brown County Court House, as a substitute
teacher with Early ISD and most recently was a longtime aide with the
Early High School. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Deleta
enjoyed the outdoors, and spent many hours fishing, camping, and
swimming. She spent many hours crocheting blankets and creating
cross-stitch pictures. She loved playing dominos, cards, and other
games with family and friends. Her favorite time was when the house
was full of people. In addition, she devoted much of her time to
being a supportive mother of her two daughters, whether it was
playing taxi, or cheering them on in their various activities. Her
smile and laugh was very infectious and will be missed by
all.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis Austin of Early;
daughters, Helen Spearman and husband Joel of Brownwood, and Felicia
Durkop and husband Nick of Brownwood; sister, Paulinda Proffitt and
husband Rodney of Granbury; brother, Jeff Young and wife Virginia of
Cleburne; two grandchildren, Taylor Spearman and Paislee Durkop.
Other family members include her step-mother, Tillie Young of
Terrell; father and mother-in-law, Charles and Laverne Austin of
Wichita Falls; brother-in-law, Clyde Austin of Wichita Falls; as well
as many nieces and nephews.
Deleta was preceded in death by her
parents; and her brother-in-law, Glen Austin.
