Ernestine Keeney Dockery Simmons, age 90 of Early, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016 in Brownwood.
Mrs. Simmons was born on January 7, 1926 in Coleman to Thomas Ernest and Lillian Clarice Keeney. Ms. Simmons enjoyed Sewing, Quilting, and Gardening. She attended Crossroads school as a child. She was a retired homemaker, and attended Hillcrest Church of Christ in Coleman.
She leaves behind 2 Daughters and Sons-in-law Joyce & Alton Wyatt of Early, Texas and Wilma Conway & husband Paul of Leavenworth, Kansas. 1 Brother LeRoy Keeney of Santa Anna, Texas; 2 Grandchildren Michelle Kindell of Troy, Ohio and Scott Conner of Austin, Texas; 5 Great-Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren. Other survivors include Nieces Sherlyn Walker, Melba Duke, and Sharon Guthrie and Nephews Roy Dean Keeney, and Jim Keeney.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Billy Marion Wyatt, brothers James F. Keeney, Richard Keeney and a niece Janice Wells.
