FORT WORTH -- Connie Martin Gentry, a vice president and escrow officer for Rattikin Title, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003, at her home. Funeral Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Bridgewood Church of Christ. Graveside Services will be held 4 p.m. at Eastlawn Cemetery, Brownwood, Texas. Memorials: Cherokee Home for Children, Box 295, Cherokee, Texas 76832; or Humane Society of North Texas, 1840 E. Lancaster, Fort Worth, Texas 76103. Ms. Gentry was a member of Bridgewood Church of Christ. Connie was born in Goldsboro and grew up in Cross Cut before moving to Brownwood, where she graduated from the Brownwood College of Business. Connie came to Fort Worth in 1950, going to work for Rattikin Title Co. as a branch manager for its Riverside Branch Office. Through her 53 years with Rattikin, Connie worked as a branch manager, head of customer service and director of training as well as many other offices. She was well respected by her peers. Connie will be deeply missed by her family: brothers, Raymond Martin and wife, Onella, of Baytown, Horace Martin and wife, Marie, of Gilmer and Jerry Martin and wife, Betty, of New Braunfels; sisters, Fawn Furry and husband, Myrl, of Brownwood and Jeanette Rash and husband, J.W. “Coot” Jr., of Gilmer; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
