Billy Wayne Goodgion was born on September 8, 1932 in Brady to J.H. and Bessie Goodgion, the youngest of eight children. Bill graduated from Brady High School in 1950. On September 2, 1953 he married Audrey Lavonne Peterson. Together they had four children. Audrey passed away on October 16, 1975 at age 38. He later married Mary Jane Williams on June 28, 1978. Bill worked most of his life as an electrician until his retirement in 1994. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Bill enjoyed reading westerns and eating at the Diamond R Café in Zephyr. Bill is survived by his wife Mary, his children, Mike Goodgion and wife Diane, Gary Goodgion and wife Sharla, all of Brownwood, Peggy Wright and husband Robert of May and Keri Thomas and husband Richard of Grosvenor; step-children, Damon Williams and wife Melonie of Stephenville and Shelly Kuras and husband Glenn of Atlanta, Georgia; ten grandchildren, Curtis Goodgion and wife Heather of Longview, Tyler Goodgion of Norfolk, Virginia, Shane and Chance Goodgion of Brownwood, Josh Holster and wife Jenny of Lake Brownwood, Amber Long and husband Josh of Grosvenor, Morgan Williams of Stephenville, Laci Wright of May, and Dustin and Hayden Thomas of Brownwood. He was blessed more with seven great-grandchildren, Hailey, Hayden and Harmony Long, Britlee and Raeleigh Holster, Nathan and Noah Goodgion, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, all his siblings and two special nieces. Bill passed from this life on Sunday, December 17, 2017 in Abilene at age 85.
