Mary Helen (Nelms) Nichols was born on February 2, 1929 in Brown County to Cecil Riley and Helen (Padier) Nelms. She attended Brownwood schools and graduated from Brownwood High School in 1947. She married Roland Nichols on May 23, 1949.
Mary is survived by a son, Larry Nichols and wife Kay of Abilene; three daughters, Patsy Biggs and husband Bill of Temple, Paula Kennedy and husband Jess of Comanche, and Susan Nix of Lake Whitney; ten grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roland in 2010, a daughter, Donna Lockett, a son, Stephen Nichols, an infant daughter, Charlotte Ann Nichols and a brother, Terry Nelms.
Mrs. Nichols died Monday, February 6, 2017 in Comanche.
