FORT WORTH — Joe V. Templin, 85, a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away Monday, July 25, 2016, surrounded by family in Fort Worth.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2016 at Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road, Benbrook.

Joe V. Templin was born Feb. 19, 1931, in California, son of the late Jesse and Ollie Sanderson Templin. Family was first for Joe Templin. He was a hard worker and made his career as a long haul truck driver and retired at the age of 65 after many dedicated years of service. Joe did some ranching, which included working the cattle and building fences. When he wasn’t hard at work, Joe loved several things including piddling around, watching NASCAR, and rooting for the Cowboys and Longhorns. Joe was a member of Teamsters Local 745 for more than 50 years and a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Eunita Templin in May of 2010; his parents; and sister, Dean Meinecke.

Survivors include children, Larry Templin and wife Vicki of Belton; Barry Templin and wife Angie of Fort Worth, and Brenda Allen and husband David of Springtown; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Templin of Brownwood; and a host of loving family and friends.
