BEDFORD -- Joe Bob Wyatt, age 61, of Bedford, formerly of Brownwood, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2003, at his residence. Mr. Wyatt was born Sept. 21, 1941, to Jake and Bertha Wyatt. A Baptist, he attended Howard Payne University and then graduated from the University of Houson Law School. He was an international lawyer for Bell Helicopter where he retired after 22 years. An outdoorsman and rancher, he is survived by his wife, Vivian Wyatt of Bedford, his children, Raquel Odell and husband, Billy, of Bedford, Daniel Wyatt of Bedford and Amanda Moise and husband, Daniel, of Austin, stepchildren, Deanne Roddy and husband, Kelly, of McGregor, and Craig Utley of Plano, four grandchildren, Lauren, Tanner, Chloe and Avery. He is also survived by a brother, Jim Wyatt and wife, Connie, of Brownwood, two sisters, Brunetta Leach and husband, J. T., of Midland and Lynda Champion and husband, Marvin, of The Colony. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Bertha Wyatt and six brothers and sisters. Graveside services will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2003, at Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early with Dr. Gary Gramling officiating. The family will receive friends and family from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
