The youngest of seven children, Wanda
was born on July 14, 1925 in Eola, Texas to Roy and Lillie Parks
Blair. Soon after graduating from Coahoma High School she married
Peril Henderson in San Angelo in 1945. Wanda worked several places
but, most notably BW Merchandise where she met many friends. In 1993,
Wanda moved from San Angelo to Brownwood to be near her son and
granddaughter. She had a very strong faith and was very active in
Grace Baptist Church. Known for her positive attitude and kindness
towards others, Wanda will be greatly missed.
Survivors include
her son Alan Henderson; granddaughter Jackie Henderson; nephews Larry
Coor, Barry Massey, Ronnie Blair, Steve Blair and niece Margo Massey.
She is also survived by her extended family Dale Henderson, George
and Joann Lowe, Chance Lowe, David Deherns, Heather and Stewart Lee,
Parker, Turner and Spencer Lee, Alicia Harms, Traci Bolton, Taylor,
Ethan and Emily Bean, Paul and Connie King, Nathan King and family,
Gayle and Jim Wittenburg and family, Nancy Youts and family, Carol
Henderson and family and many other family and friends.
Wanda was
preceded in death by her parents Roy and Lillie Blair, husbands Peril
Henderson and John Young, daughter Linda Henderson, daughter-in- law
Tina Henderson, brothers Roy Jr, Harold and Garth Blair and by
sisters Evelyn Coor, Hazel Middlebrook, Natalie Massey and by
numerous nieces and nephews.
