Obituary for, Letha Philen - August 24, 1998 BROWNWOOD - Letha E. Philen, 98, died Sunday at a local nursing home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Green officiating. Burial will be in Indian Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Philen was born in Indian Creek and had lived in Brown County all her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Southside Assembly of God. She was the widow of Virgil McDearmon and Josh Philen. Survivors include two daughters, Avis Jones of Ranger and Anita Middleton of Early; two sons, William Philen of Brownwood and Rob Philen of Dallas; one sister, Vela Posey of Brownwood; three brothers, Odie McCoy, Kyle McCoy and Raymond McCoy, all of Brownwood; 14 grandchildren and a number of great- and great-great-grandchildren.
