Wilda Cloe “Coco” Kendrick was born on March 11, 1943 in Houston to Louis Crockett and Thelma (Brown) Kendrick.
After high school she went to nursing school and graduated as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Coco married Billy Don Rhodes on April 11, 1983 in Idabel, Oklahoma. She attended the Rising Star Church of Christ for a number of years and later attended the May Church of Christ.
Coco was happiest when she was around family. She also enjoyed a good garage sale and flea markets.
Coco is survived by her husband of thirty-two years, Billy Don Rhodes of May; two sons, Jerry Gage and wife Aileen of Albuquerque and James Gage and wife Theresa of Brownwood; nine grandchildren, Christina Peterson of North Carolina, Kerri Gage of Maryland, Candice Schroeder of Maryland, James Gage of Albuquerque, Kenneth Smith of Albuquerque, Tina Sparato of Nevada, Sergio, Alonzo, and Andrew Gutierrez all of Brownwood; fifteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Nelda Spraggins and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Patsy Merle King, and a brother, Billy Howard Kendrick.
