Clifton Eugene Swinney, 82, of Brownwood, died Monday, Nov. 14, 2016 at Senior Care Nursing Home.
He was born Jan. 17, 1934 to Raymon D. Swinney and Chlotile (Burkett) Swinney in Mullin. He married Ila May (Word) Swinney on May 28, 1954 in Brownwood. He served his country in the Texas National Guard from 1952 to 1960. He worked for Dow Corning and made microscopic surgical tools.
Survivors include daughters, Sabrina Diane (Swinney) Farmer Martinez of Georgetown, Tammy LaJuan (Swinney) Kidd and husband Larry of Burleson; three grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; and sister-in-law, Dottie Layman of Brownwood.
He was preceded in death by his wife; daughter, Teresa Verneil Swinney; and grandson, Larry Andrew (Andy) Kidd.
