Graveside funeral services for Jerry Don Kidd, 59, of May, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at Pleasant Valley Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral and Cremation Services of Early. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 13, at the funeral home. Mr. Kidd died on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at his home in May. Jerry Don Kidd was born on Aug. 11, 1948, in Lamesa, Texas, a son of Kenneth M. and Winnie B. Crowell Kidd. He was raised and attended school in the Lamesa area and was a member of The Lamesa Church of Nazarene. He had lived in Brown County for the last five years, moving here from Lamesa. He is survived by one son, Michael J. Clayton of Abilene; three brothers, Kenneth W. Kidd of May, David Kidd of Lamesa and Roger Kidd of May; one sister, Sandra Kidd of May; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Winnie Kidd.
