Ray Rose, age 77, of Brownwood, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 in the Heart Hospital in Austin, Texas. Interment in the Zephyr Cemetery. Mr. Rose passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015, in Heart Hospital in Austin, Texas. Kendell Ray Rose was born on July 10, 1937 in Iraan, Texas, to Austin Andrew Lee Rose and Jessie Ann Craig Rose. He was a 1955 graduate of Fort Stockton High School and was married to Patsy Redd in Carlsbad, New Mexico, on July 4, 1959. Ray was a rancher and had been a resident of Brown County for the majority of his life. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Patsy Rose of Brownwood; one son, Doug Rose and wife Jackie of Brownwood; one daughter, Brenda Rose of Cuero; two grandchildren, Danielle Rose of Brownwood and John Rose of Stephenville; one great-granddaughter Salem; one sister, Jean Landers of Escondido, California; and his granddog, Brady. He was preceded in death by his parents, A.A. and Jessie Rose; one sister, Helen Prieskorn; and two brothers, Hollis and Kenneth Rose.
